About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Hospitality Services Assistant (Cleaning) to join our team on a part-time basis. In this rewarding role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents, visitors, and staff while supporting infection control practices across the facility.
You may also assist with basic catering duties as required, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services that enhance residents' comfort, wellbeing, and quality of life. Working as part of a supportive team, you will play an important role in ensuring our facility remains welcoming, safe, and well-presented.
Key responsibilities
- Clean resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and facility spaces to a high standard.
- Follow cleaning schedules, infection control procedures, and workplace policies.
- Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and personal protective equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain resident environments that are clean, hygienic, safe, and comfortable.
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings at all times.
- Assist with basic catering duties, including meal preparation support, plating, and meal distribution when required.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in food service areas.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards, risks, or incidents promptly.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support quality care and services for residents.
Your Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in cleaning, hospitality, healthcare, or aged care environments (preferred).
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, infection control principles, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Basic understanding of food handling and hygiene practices.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Reliable, adaptable, and committed to providing quality services to older people.
