We are now looking for an experienced Human Resources Consultant to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity.

About the Role

As one of our consultants, you will become a trusted advisor to your own portfolio of clients, to take ownership of those relationships and provide practical and commercial Human Resources advice across a broad range of people matters. No two days are the same – this role is full of variety and competing priorities.

Your day might include

- Managing Employee and Industrial relations matter, including providing pragmatic advice and guidance

- Actioning day-to-day HR matters including supporting performance management, workplace investigations, grievances etc.

- Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.

- Developing and implementing policies, procedures,



and compliance.

- Providing leadership coaching and support to managers and business owners

- Support organisational development and workplace change programs.

- Developing and delivering strategic Human Resources projects.

- General day-to-day Human Resources partnering.

- Building and nurturing strong, ongoing client relationships.

- Managing new business enquiries and proposals.

Importantly, you will own and lead your client work and relationships, while having the support and experience of the wider LMHR team behind you.

This means being consistent, committed and accountable for your clients, while also knowing when to collaborate, seek another perspective or ask for support.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

- A minimum of seven years' Human Resources generalist experience.

- A minimum of six months' Human Resources consulting experience.

- Strong Employee Relations and Industrial Relations capability, together with excellent knowledge of Australian employment legislation.

- Broad experience across the full employee lifecycle.

- A commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to provide practical advice and balance a businesses commercial needs with the needs of the people

- Confidence working directly with clients and the ability to establish trust and credibility quickly.

- A confident personality combined with strong self-awareness – you know your strengths, recognise when you need another perspective and are comfortable seeking support.

- Excellent judgement, particularly when navigating complex or sensitive people matters.





- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

- Exceptional attention to detail.

- Genuine curiosity and a commitment to continual learning.

- A collaborative approach with plenty of humility.

- A willingness and confidence to manage new business enquiries and proposals, with support from the wider team.

- Consistency, accountability and a genuine commitment to leading your client work.

- A great sense of humour and the ability to enjoy the journey with us.

This opportunity could particularly suit an experienced Human Resources Advisor, Human Resources Business Partner or Human Resources Manager who has some consulting experience and is looking for greater variety, flexibility and the opportunity to work across multiple businesses with an incredible team.

A Few Practical Things

- This is a permanent part-time opportunity with flexibility around working arrangements.

- The role is predominantly remote; some client work will require on-site visits.

- You must be Sydney-based and available to attend client sites and team catch-ups when required.
