Workfast is currently seeking a skilled Electrician for upcoming works in Muswellbrook at the Coal Station, attached to the Bayswater Power Station.
This is a fantastic prospect to secure a short-term contract that offers a true work-life balance and acts as a direct foot in the door with a leading utilities and mining company.
While this is initially a holiday-cover role, successful candidates will be in a prime position for ongoing work at this site or across other projects in the future!
We currently have two temporary cover periods available:
- Primary Cover (4 Weeks): 31st August – 24th September
- Secondary Cover (1 Week): 7th September – 10th September

What You Will Be Doing
- Working in and around the power station / coal station environment.
- Conducting High Voltage (HV) and High Risk (HR) works.
- Working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Performing general site electrical maintenance.
What You Need Essential:
- Valid Electrical Licence
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) / CPR Ticket
- Working at Heights Ticket
- Confined Space Ticket
Highly Regarded (But Not Essential):
- High Voltage Training
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Ticket
- Switching cert / experience
