Senior Accountant

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 + superannuation & bonuses

About Our Client

Our client is an independent accounting and advisory firm based in Red Hill, on Brisbane's city fringe.

The practice has 2 Directors and a team of 18, offering services across tax compliance, accounting, business services, SMSFs, bookkeeping, QBCC reporting, business advisory and related professional services.

The firm is fully cloud-based, operates as a Xero Platinum Partner, and uses up-to-date systems, including Xero, XPM, FYI Docs, and related cloud tools.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will work across a diverse portfolio of clients and take on a mix of compliance, client support and advisory-related work.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, partnerships and SMSFs
- Preparing BAS, IAS,



PAYG and related compliance obligations
- Managing client queries and building strong working relationships
- Researching general taxation matters
- Supporting business advisory projects with Managers and Directors
- Using Xero, XPM and FYI to manage workflow and client delivery
- Assisting junior or intermediate accountants where required
- Contributing to the ongoing quality and efficiency of the team

What You'll Bring

- Accounting degree
- Strong Australian public practice experience
- CA or CPA completed or in progress
- Robust knowledge of tax compliance and business services work
- Confidence preparing work across multiple entity types
- Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Proactive mindset and willingness to keep developing

Experience with Xero, XPM, MYOB, FYI Docs and BGL Simple Fund will be advantageous.
