West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated ICT Technical Specialist to join our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of technology services that support patient care and organisational operations across multiple healthcare sites. Reporting to the ICT Technical Specialist Team Leader, you will provide technical expertise across a diverse ICT environment, supporting critical infrastructure, communication systems, end-user technologies and clinical applications.

About the Role The ICT Technical Specialist is responsible for the support, maintenance and continuous improvement of key ICT services and infrastructure across WGHG. Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and team members, you will contribute to the delivery of reliable, secure and contemporary technology services that enable high-quality healthcare.
Key responsibilities include: Managing endpoint devices, standard operating environments and desktop applications
Providing technical support for clinical and business software systems
Supporting network infrastructure and communications services across multiple sites
Maintaining communications rooms, cabinets and associated infrastructure
Supporting VoIP telephony, clinical alerting and monitoring systems
Contributing to ICT projects, system upgrades and service improvements
Assisting with ICT asset management, documentation and reporting
Supporting service governance, risk management and change activities
Working with vendors and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery About You
You are a customer-focused ICT professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, building strong stakeholder relationships and contributing to continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will have: A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated experience supporting ICT infrastructure, devices and business applications in a medium to large environment
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, endpoint management and networking
Experience supporting and maintaining ICT assets and services in a complex operational environment
Well-developed communication, problem-solving and organisational skills The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service A proactive approach to service improvement and teamwork Desirable Qualifications and Experience The following would be considered advantageous: ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management frameworks
Microsoft 365, Windows or related technical certifications
Experience with Microsoft SCCM or other endpoint management platforms
Experience supporting VoIP telephony, nurse call, duress or clinical monitoring systems
Experience working within a healthcare or similarly complex and highly regulated environment KEY: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza and other mandatory vaccinations where required by government requirements. Evidence of vaccination, or a valid exemption, may be required prior to commencement.
