Implementation Manager – Airport Operations Systems

For over 25 years, Freightquip has been a trusted Australasian distributor and service provider for leading global manufacturers of specialised equipment used across the aviation, rail and seaport industries. We're looking for an experienced Implementation Manager to lead the rollout of XOPS, an Airport Operations Management System, supporting our new Ground Support Equipment Pooling Operations at Western Sydney International Airport.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in establishing new operational systems at one of Australia's newest airports.

Working closely with the XOPS software development team, the Pool Coordinator, airport stakeholders and ground handling contractors, you'll ensure the system is configured correctly, adopted by users and successfully transitioned into day-to-day operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the implementation, configuration and operational rollout of XOPS across Freightquip's Western Sydney International Pooling Operations. You'll work alongside the Pooling Coordinator, who will use XOPS on an ongoing basis to manage daily equipment allocation and respond to operational changes such as flight schedule variations, equipment breakdowns and asset availability.

This is more than a software implementation role - it's an opportunity to establish new operational processes, train users, drive change and ensure the successful adoption of a critical airport operations platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the implementation and operational rollout of XOPS.
- Configure the platform to support Freightquip's operational requirements.
- Coordinate implementation activities, project milestones and go-live planning.




- Work alongside the Pool Coordinator to establish day-to-day operating procedures.
- Deliver user training and provide implementation support throughout the project.
- Promote user adoption and ensure XOPS is used consistently across airport operations.
- Liaise with airport stakeholders, ground handlers and contractors.
- Monitor implementation progress and resolve system and operational issues.
- Prepare user documentation, procedures and implementation records.
- Complete project handover and transition the system into business-as-usual operations.

About You

- Experience driving user adoption and change management.
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Experience in aviation, logistics, transport, asset management or operational technology will be highly regarded.
