An exciting opportunity exists for an Industrial Mechanical Fitter to join our team. We are seeking a highly driven & capable fitter with a positive outlook, who wants to succeed, learn new things & put their skills to good use in the automation game.

- Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Fitter & Turner or equivalent).
- Practical experience fault finding on pneumatics & hydraulics.
- Preventative maintenance experience.
- Experience working with belt & chain driven equipment.
- Experience with reactive maintenance & breakdowns.
- Strong customer focus and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team & autonomously.
- Willingness to work (some) overtime.
- Driver's Licence.
- Good understanding of Australian Standards.
- Versatile & Hands-on.

- Experience working in manufacturing
- Experience with shift coverage work
- Experience with mechanical (project) installation work
- Welding (TIG/MIG)
- Fabrication & Machining (lathe, guillotine, folder)
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- Forklift Licence
- Elevated Work Platform Licence
- Emergency First Aid / CPR
- Rigging / Dogging tickets

About the role:

The position of Industrial Mechanical Fitter with QCS may entail some or all of the following roles & responsibilities: *This work would be undertaken with the full support of the existing team of fitters, electricians and engineers.

- Site installation of industrial automation & mechanical solutions.
- Mechanical Shift-Cover (Manufacturing Customers).
- Reactive breakdown maintenance and fault-finding on plant and equipment.
- Scheduled/preventative maintenance in line with PM programs.
- Pump, gearbox, conveyor, and bearing repairs and replacements.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic repairs and replacements.
- Valve fault finding and rebuilds.
- Mechanical drawing mark-ups.
- Installation commissioning support.
- Fabrication and modification of mechanical components as required.
- Apprentice mentoring.
- Mechanical install estimation.




- Liaising with electricians, engineers, operators and other trades.
