Miles State High School has a unique chance for an Industry Liaison Officer to actively promote Business, Industry and Community partnerships to support the development of career pathways, including but not limited to work placement, school-based apprentices/traineeships, external apprentices/traineeships and career events. This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.20FTE), 14.5 hours per fortnight.

About the Role:
As the Industry Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for assisting students with their school to work transition.
This role encompasses work experience/placement, School Based Apprenticeships & Traineeships as well as TAFE courses and alternative pathway options such as Get Set for Work.
You will be required to form partnerships between the school and business groups, source opportunities for students and provide a high level of client support.
This role is service-orientated and dependent on face-to-face contact with students, employers and the business community.
The range of activities undertaken by the Industry Liaison Officer at Miles State High School include:
- Source Australian School Based Apprenticeships (ASBA) opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placements in industry and potential School Based Apprenticeships.
- Promote and market the benefits of the schools' technical model to potential employers and other stakeholders and position School Based Apprenticeships as a career pathway preference for students within the region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies.
- Form connections and develop partnerships between school and employers that will assist students to transition to employment and make effective career choices.
- Source vocational training opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placement in transition to work programs.
