Every day, our business relies on trusted insights to make smarter decisions, improve customer outcomes and protect against risk. As an Insurance Insights Analyst, you'll play a key role in uncovering the stories hidden within our data and translating them into meaningful action.

Working across insurance, fraud and advanced analytics, you'll partner with stakeholders to solve complex business problems, investigate emerging trends and develop insights that influence decision making. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving technical challenges and helping others understand what the data is really telling them. You'll join a collaborative team where curiosity, problem solving and continuous learning are valued every day.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Meanjin (Brisbane).

What You'll Do

- Analyse insurance, claims and operational data to uncover trends, risks and opportunities that support informed business decisions.

- Write and optimise complex SQL queries to investigate issues, extract insights and support analytical outcomes.

- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges and translate requirements into practical analytics solutions.

- Develop dashboards, reporting and visual insights using Tableau and other analytics tools to tell compelling data stories.





- Support fraud analytics initiatives by investigating anomalies, identifying root causes and helping maintain critical fraud systems.

- Work backwards from business questions and data issues to identify where processes, logic or data sources may be impacting outcomes.

- Contribute to regulatory and business initiatives by delivering accurate, trusted and actionable insights.

What You'll Bring

- Experience in an analytics, data science, business intelligence or similar role, typically gained over 3 to 5 years.

- Experience using SQL to query, investigate and analyse complex data environments.

- Exposure to AWS cloud technologies and up-to-date analytics platforms.

- Experience with Tableau and data visualisation tools that help transform data into meaningful stories.

- Knowledge of R or a willingness to build capability in statistical and analytical programming.

- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to trace issues to source and identify practical solutions.

- Confidence communicating with stakeholders and presenting insights in a way that drives action and understanding.

- Experience in insurance, financial services or other data rich industries will be highly regarded, but not essential.
