The Role
We are seeking for a full-time Intermediate Accountant to join our team. This is a hands-on role to support the parent entity, operating company as well as the multiple managed investment schemes for which K2 act as trustee. As such, you will be assisting with the integrity of all financial accounting, statutory reporting and management reporting requirements and involved in fund distributions, unit pricing updates, expense processing and daily & monthly reconciliations.
This role provides a detailed and broad knowledge of the funds management industry and provides for growth opportunities over time. The business also supports a highly professional workplace setting and promotes continuous process improvement.

Working with the finance team,
you will be responsible for assisting with some of the following tasks:
- Performing daily and monthly reconciliation for various managed investment funds.
- Assisting with preparing consolidated financial statements, for the listed entity and the investment fund.
- Annual fund distributions.
- Assisting with yearly audits and financial statements.
- Supporting the fund administrators with trade settlements, expense tracking and payment execution.
- General financial services and fund administration support.
- Constantly adhering to process and system improvements.
- Completion of other ad hoc tasks as directed.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills Required:
- Previous experience of at least 3 years in an accounting role and familiarity with accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ownership of role.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Team focused work approach.
- IT skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or relevant fields are essential.
