Description of the role:

We're seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our growing Business Advisory team.

In this role, you'll work closely with Managers and Directors to deliver high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse client base. You will gain exposure to a variety of clients, including recent and expanding businesses, family businesses, medium to large private companies and listed entities.

Salary: $78,000- $80,000 plus superannuation.

What makes you 'just right':

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA studies commenced, or intention to commence.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Business Advisory, Business Services or Public Practice Accounting role.
- Thorough understanding of basic accounting procedures.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages including Xero and MYOB.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.




- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.

What your day might look like:

- Preparing financial statements, tax returns and management reports for a variety of entities including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Assisting with client compliance obligations including BAS, FBT, CGT and Division 7A matters.
- Reconciling balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analysing financial information and preparing reports for clients.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
- Working closely with Managers, Directors and clients to achieve desired outcomes.
- Providing support and assistance to clients in relation to accounting systems and software, including Xero and MYOB.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering exceptional client service.
