The Role

We're looking for a commercially sharp Internal Accountant to own the day-to-day finance function of the business. As our first full-time finance hire, you'll work closely with our vCFO and leadership team to build scalable financial processes as we continue to grow.

You'll own monthly reporting, cash flow administration, and inventory accounting, and you'll support the vCFO on forecasting and commercial analysis. You'll also help establish the systems, controls, and processes that allow the business to scale globally.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and building rather than simply maintaining existing processes.

What you'll own

- Day-to-day bookkeeping - accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment runs across the Morning Made group
- Month-end close - reconciliations, journals, and accruals to close out each month, providing monthly reporting to the leadership team
- Inventory and COGS accounting - landed cost, co-manufacturing spend, and 3PL charges reconciled against inventory movements
- Retail deduction reconciliation




- Cash flow visibility - work closely with our vCFO on the cash flow forecast, ensuring current numbers so cash decisions get made on real data
- Compliance - BAS, GST, and tax filings run on time, working alongside our external accountants
- Support the vCFO on gross margin analysis by channel, product, and customer
- Support the vCFO on annual budgets and rolling forecasts

What you bring

- 3+ years in accounting or finance, ideally inside CPG, FMCG, or another high-growth consumer business
- Fluent in Xero
- Real experience with inventory and COGS accounting, not just AP/AR and payroll
- Comfortable supporting forecasts and budgets, not just processing what's already been built
- You've worked across more than one entity or currency and know what a clean consolidation looks like
- Comfortable with retail - chargebacks, deductions, and broker/distributor complexities
- CA/CPA (or equivalent, in progress or completed) is a strong plus, not a hard requirement if the experience is there
