Are you an organised and technically minded professional with experience in electrical manufacturing, switchboards, or project coordination?

At IPD, we are seeking a Project Coordinator - Electrical Distribution Board Manufacture to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of custom electrical distribution board projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll take ownership of projects from design through to production and delivery.

Reporting to the Business Manager - Distribution Boards & Assembly Solutions, you will be responsible for coordinating custom electrical distribution board projects to ensure they are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to specification.

About the role: As a Project Coordinator , will oversee project activities from planning and design review through to manufacturing, dispatch, and delivery, ensuring exceptional customer outcomes every step of the way.

- Managing custom assembly and distribution board projects from initiation through to delivery.
- Liaising with customers, sales representatives, production teams, estimators, and design personnel to ensure project success.
- Coordinating production schedules and managing project timelines to meet customer requirements.
- Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and quality of technical drawings before and after customer approval.
- Performing project administration activities including design reviews, drawing submissions, stock checks,



ordering labels, and maintaining project records.
- Collaborating with Product Managers and Purchasing teams to ensure component availability aligns with production schedules.
- Managing urgent changes in component requirements and resolving supply challenges to minimise project delays.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and assembly processes.
- Coordinating dispatch and delivery activities with customers, sales teams, transport providers, and logistics personnel.
- Supporting additional projects and operational activities as required.

Skills and Experiences: About You: We're looking for a technically skilled and highly organised qualified who enjoys managing projects and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

- Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Proven experience in project management within Australia.
- Strong understanding of relevant AS/NZ standards, particularly AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439.
- Ability to interpret schematic drawings and technical documentation.
- Sound knowledge of low voltage systems and control circuits.
- Experience in the design of control panels and distribution boards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with CAD software and ERP systems (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure to meet tight project deadlines.
- Strong capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.




- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken English.
