The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group IT & Project Manager, the IT Infrastructure Leader is responsible for the operational management, security, and continuous improvement of our cloud-first technology environment.

This role leads the IT Helpdesk function, manages IT assets and vendors, supports cyber security initiatives, and delivers infrastructure and technology projects that enable our business to grow.

You'll work across a modern Oracle and Microsoft-centric environment, supporting users across multiple locations and business units whilst ensuring technology remains secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing operational excellence, team leadership, cyber security, and technology improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

IT Operations & Infrastructure

- Lead the management and continuous improvement of our cloud-first technology environment.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
- Manage endpoint technologies across Windows and macOS devices.
- Monitor and maintain business-critical networks, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications services.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, policies, and operational procedures.




- Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations that improve business performance, security, and user experience.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IT services and operational processes.

Service Delivery & Helpdesk Leadership

- Lead the IT Helpdesk function, ensuring a high level of customer service and timely issue resolution.
- Monitor service desk performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and service improvements.
- Establish and maintain service standards, processes, and performance metrics.

Cyber Security & Risk Management

- Support the organisation's cyber security program, helping to protect systems, identities, devices, and information assets.
- Administer security technologies, policies, and controls across the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Assist with vulnerability management, security assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
- Support compliance initiatives and cyber security frameworks including the CIS Critical Security Controls, or NIST.
- Deliver user awareness and cyber security education programs.

Asset & Lifecycle Management

- Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, licensing, and technology assets.
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through to retirement and disposal.
- Support software licensing compliance and optimisation initiatives.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews of technology assets.

Vendor & Supplier Management

- Manage relationships with key technology vendors, service providers, and implementation partners.




- Monitor vendor performance and ensure contracted services meet agreed expectations.
- Participate in contract reviews, renewals, and commercial negotiations.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality and reduce operational costs.

Project Delivery

- Lead and contribute to infrastructure and technology projects across the business.
- Coordinate technology change activities, ensuring smooth adoption and successful outcomes.

Financial Management

- Assist with development and management of the IT budget.
- Monitor technology expenditure and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
- Contribute to forecasting, reporting, and technology investment planning.

About You You are a technology leader who combines strong technical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You enjoy solving problems, improving systems, and helping people get the most from technology whilst maintaining a strong focus on security, reliability, and business outcomes.

Skills & Experience

- Considerable experience in IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 administration, or contemporary workplace technologies.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
- Experience managing Windows, macOS and iOS device environments.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications.
- Experience managing IT vendors, service providers, and technology contracts.
- Exposure to cyber security practices including identity management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and security awareness.
