This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a new notification and campaign management platform, working alongside a highly collaborative engineering team to deliver a business-critical product from concept through to implementation and handover.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Software Developer with solid full stack experience to help deliver a Notification Engine MVP. You'll work across backend services, frontend applications, integrations, testing, and deployment while collaborating closely with engineers and technical stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning work end-to-end and can balance rapid delivery with scalable, maintainable engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and data models
- Develop modern frontend experiences using React
- Implement business rules, validation, permissions, and workflow logic
- Integrate with identity management and authentication platforms
- Build APIs for both user-facing and programmatic platform interactions
- Create reporting capabilities, dashboards, and analytics visualisations
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
- Support deployment, rollout, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities




- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions

Technical Skills & Experience

Required

- 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, ReactJS, and AWS
- Experience building REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot or similar JVM frameworks
- Knowledge of relational databases and schema migration practices
- Experience with authentication and identity technologies including SSO, OAuth, OIDC, and Okta
- Experience with testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Understanding of event-driven architectures, messaging, or notification systems
- Experience working across both frontend and backend application development

Preferred

- Experience developing enterprise SaaS applications
- Exposure to reporting platforms, analytics dashboards, or visualisation tools
- Experience with access controls, permissions, and audit logging
- Familiarity with CSV data processing and large-scale user targeting workflows
- Experience delivering MVPs and transitioning solutions to internal engineering teams
