We are currently seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support a portfolio of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) projects within a major mining operation.

This role will suit an early-career Project Engineer with previous mine-site experience who is comfortable developing scopes of work, coordinating stakeholders and supporting the delivery of multiple minor infrastructure projects within a live operational environment.

The Opportunity

Working within the Projects team, you will support a portfolio of minor NPI projects.

A key focus of the position will be developing clear, detailed and execution-ready scopes of work for onsite contractors to deliver.

The project portfolio will include a variety of site infrastructure and facilities works, including:

- Aerodrome equipment and infrastructure upgrades
- Equipment storage areas and concrete slabs
- Facilities mobile equipment procurement
- Village EWP requirements
- Village loading dock works
- Locker room facilities and building procurement
- Minor gym upgrades
- Outdoor gym shade structures
- Workshop cooling
- Solar power supply installations
- UPS power backup installations
- General village and site facilities improvements

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed and execution-ready Scopes of Work (SOWs) for onsite contractors
- Support the delivery of multiple NPI projects valued between $200K-$1M
- Undertake site inspections and field verification to define project requirements
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and contractor activities
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost tracking and reporting
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Develop contractor work packages and support procurement activities
- Coordinate with Operations, Facilities, Engineering and site stakeholders




- Identify constructability issues and ensure scopes are practical for site execution
- Provide engineering support throughout project execution and close-out
- Ensure all works comply with site safety, engineering and operational requirements

About You

- Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical or a related Engineering discipline
- Previous mine-site experience is essential
- Experience working across Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) projects
- Exposure to minor projects, facilities or site infrastructure works
- Experience developing scopes of work and contractor packages
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple project scopes concurrently
- Robust technical writing and documentation skills
- Practical and hands-on approach to project delivery
- Full Australian working rights

Roster & Location
- 8/6 FIFO roster onsite
- Potential flexibility to work a 5/2 roster with WFH opportunities
- Flights available from Perth, Darwin or Brisbane
- Long-term opportunity within a major mining environment
