We’re looking for a Junior Womenswear Designer / Womenswear Design Assistant to join the Venroy Design & Production team.

Role Purpose
Working closely with our Senior Womenswear Designer and Head of Design and Production, you’ll contribute to the research, design and development of Venroy’s womenswear collections from initial concept through to final product.
This role is suited to a designer with a strong eye for detail and sound technical foundations, who is excited to be involved across all stages of the collection process. You’ll work across seasonal research and concept development, CADs, fabrics and trims, fittings, sampling and technical handover, while bringing ideas and supporting the continued evolution of Venroy Womenswear.
Key Responsibilities Support seasonal collection research across fashion, cultural and lifestyle references, contributing to mood boards and design concepts.
Contribute to womenswear design and development from initial concept through to final product.
Create and update CADs and technical drawings to communicate design, proportion, construction, colour, finishes and key product details.
Research and develop fabrics, trims, prints, graphics and finishes.
Support prototype and sample development,
including preparing garments and relevant materials for womenswear fittings, attending fittings, taking detailed notes and clearly communicating amendments and actions to the relevant teams.
Prepare design handovers, tech packs and supporting information for garment technicians and production.
Contribute creative and commercially relevant product ideas throughout the season.
Work closely with Design, Production, Buying and Merchandising throughout the product development process.
Contribute to accessories, collaborations and special projects as required.
Ensure product consistently reflects Venroy’s aesthetic, quality and collection direction.
What you'll bring to the role 2–3 years’ experience in a womenswear design role.
A qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
Solid Adobe Illustrator skills, with working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign.
Experience creating CADs and technical drawings.
A sound understanding of garment construction, fabrication, trims and the product development process.
A strong eye for detail, colour, silhouette and proportion.
An understanding of fashion, culture and emerging creative references, with the ability to translate these into relevant product ideas.
Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently across multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to take initiative and contribute ideas.
