Due to increased demand within the IT support function, an opportunity exists for an experienced Level 2 Onsite Technology Support Officer to join a collaborative and customer-focused technology team.
Your new role
As a Level 2 Onsite Technology Support Officer, you will be part of the Onsite Technology Support team, providing high-quality technical assistance and "at-elbow" support across a diverse user community. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues while delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring users can work effectively with minimal disruption.Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and software applications.
- Responding to incidents and service requests through established support channels.
- Delivering face-to-face and remote support to staff and students across multiple locations.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, Windows operating systems, and connectivity issues.
- Escalating complex technical matters while maintaining ownership and communication with end users.
- Maintaining accurate ticketing records, documentation, and support notes.
- Contributing to knowledge articles, user guides, and support documentation.
- Collaborating with internal IT teams, stakeholders,
and external vendors to ensure efficient issue resolution.
- Supporting service delivery objectives and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience providing Level 2 technical support within a large enterprise environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across:
- Windows desktop and laptop environments
- Mobile devices and tablets
- Microsoft Office and business applications
- Hardware and peripheral devices
- User accounts and access-related issues
- Experience delivering high-quality customer service to technical and non-technical users.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
