Lab Technician - ASAP Start!

NX Blue are seeking experienced Lab Technicians to join a globally recognised manufacturer of commercial, medical and industrial gas products. This role is focused on the preparation, production and analysis of specialty gas mixtures.

Due to the nature of the work, maintaining safety standards, accurate record keeping and use of internal data management systems is key.

Key Duties

- Prepare, produce and analyse specialty gas mixtures in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards.
- Operate automated and semi-automated gas filling and laboratory equipment.
- Performing routine laboratory analysis and interpreting results.
- Assist chemists with method development and support non-routine production and analytical activities.
- Prepare gas cylinders for dispatch, including labelling, painting and quality verification.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, production documentation and data management systems.
- Work collaboratively with Chemists and Team Leaders to meet production schedules,



service KPIs and escalation of non-conforming testing outcomes.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained and operating effectively, including routine servicing and consumable stock management.
- Safely handle gas cylinders and chemicals, including manual handling of cylinders.
- Maintain compliance with laboratory operating procedures, quality systems, safety requirements and environmental standards.

To Be Successful

- Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or equivalent
- Previous experience as a lab technician or similar role.
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol test.
- Strong focus on workplace safety and maintaining WHS practices.
- Physical capability of regularly lifting up to 20kg.
- Comfortability working in a team environment.
- Own PPE on hand incl. long sleeve hi-vis shirt, long pants, and steel cap boots.
