Telecommunications Civil Engineering Subject Matter Support (Wideband)

Talemm is a proud Australian network design company providing high-quality, large-scale design solutions to major telecommunications companies. Brisbane-based, and established in 2020, we are a proven high-quality telecommunications design house offering trunking backhaul and infrastructure, and in-building coverage (IBC) for wholesale, retail, industrial, and corporate premises. At Talemm our design team are experts in the comms industry, with more than 120 years of background in field installation, infrastructure design, site assessment, project and contract management.

We are seeking a recently graduated Engineer to join our ever-growing network design team, which consists of designers and operational support staff. Talemm is currently completing Wideband Design for Telstra. We now have a need to grow our Design Support Team to maintain our productivity and quality outputs.

About the role

This role is for a Graduate Engineer to provide high-quality support to the Talemm Design Team under the supervision of the Talemm Fibre Subject Matter Expert.

All applicants will have relevant and accredited engineering qualifications, and a clear commitment to high-quality output. This Full-Time role is a domestic (onshore) work-from-home position that allow for interstate applications for applicants prepared to relocate to Brisbane. Successful candidates must have a permanent right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

- Provide expert support to the Talemm Team and the Talemm Fibre Subject Matter Expert for challenges related to Land Stewardship, Environmental, and Cultural matters
- On attaining proficiency in the relevant Telstra Databases for External Fibre Design provide expert support to the Talemm Team and the Talemm Fibre Subject Matter Expert
- Liaise, where required, with Telstra LSEC Team (Land Stewardship, Environmental, and Cultural), Wideband Delivery Specialists, and Project Managers
- Where required in a Support Role, perform LSEC and Fibre Design activities

Skills & Experience You must have a working competency with the following applications and systems, with a view to gaining expert competency under the supervision and guidance of the Talemm Fibre Subject Matter Expert:

- GIS/Spatial
- AutoCAD
- Visio
- Microsoft Office Applications
