Gransolar Development Australia (GDA) is a leading development platform for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar photovoltaic (PV) and hybrid projects.

In Australia, we've completed 13 major projects and have another 4 under construction, adding a total of circa 3GW of utility scale solar and +700MWh of storage.

The Role

- Support on land acquisition process for new development opportunities of standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS), including:

o identification of potential areas of interest and site origination o support in negotiation and execution of land agreements.
- Engagement with key stakeholders in the land acquisition/planning process, including state planning representatives, local council, other public agencies and landowners.
- Assistance in planning activities during project origination and planning stages.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Land Acquisition

- Land use & feasibility analysis for new renewable developments;
- Application of GIS tools for land acquisition & planning requirements;
- Liaising with specialist consultants and agents, when required;
- Interface with third parties such as local authorities;
- Reviewing of legal documents and agreements; and




- Site visits and landowner engagement for land negotiation.

Planning:
- Liaising with State planning and other local agents;
- Reviewing and assisting with planning documents/processes; and

General :
- Project administration & coordination including data management;
- Building and maintaining professional working relationships with key stakeholders;
- Building knowledge and understanding of the renewable energy industry including state and national energy policies; and
- Supporting other duties where required by the Project Development Manager.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Tertiary education in Town Planning, Property Development, Business and/or other relevant area; and
- Any current training necessary for qualification validity.
