The role: Searo is seeking a qualified A-Grade Electrician to undertake electrical test and tagging services across Searo and Symal Group projects. This role is ideal for a self-motivated tradesperson who enjoys working independently, has a strong safety focus, and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant testing and reporting. Work will be on a casual, as-needed basis, with regular working hours.
You'll attend a variety of civil construction, infrastructure, maintenance, and operational sites, ensuring portable electrical equipment remains safe and compliant with Australian Standards. Who are you? You have Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
You have a current White Card
Demonstrated experience in electrical test and tagging
You have a robust understanding of AS/NZS 3760 and AS/NZS 3012
Hold a current driving licence
You are experienced using portable appliance testers and RCD testing equipment
You have strong communication and problem-solving skills with a commitment to safety Your everyday: Carrying out inspection, testing and tagging of electrical equipment, extension leads and RCDs
Perform visual inspections and remove unsafe equipment from service
Apply compliant test tags with correct testing and retest dates
Accurately record all testing results against asset registers
Identify, quarantine and report failed equipment
Updating site asset registers and identify unregistered equipment
