About us

BlendED National is a new and exciting initiative of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), providing flexible, inclusive education for young people across the country who are unable to access traditional schooling.

Delivered online by a multidisciplinary team, BlendED National supports young people through trauma-informed, relationship-based learning that prioritises safety, connection, and individualised support. The program is designed to meet the needs of young people experiencing complex barriers to education, and is grounded in EREA’s commitment to educational equity and radical inclusion.

Our Young People

Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.

We recognise that each young person’s journey is unique. Our staff are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and empowering learning environment where young people can develop confidence, reconnect with education, and work towards their goals.

Our Team

BlendED National has opened its first school in Brisbane, Queensland, supported by a newly formed team including a Principal, Program Directors, Teachers, and Youth Workers.

The Role

We are seeking multiple Learning Support Officers (LSO’s) to join our team in Nudgee, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and surrounds, Queensland. The role of an LSO plays a vital role in supporting and strengthening young people’s engagement in learning, working closely and collaboratively with Teachers and other staff.





Employment: Ongoing contract, 0.8 FTE – term time only

Commencement: ASAP

Salary: This role is classified under the Catholic Employers Single Enterprise Collective Agreement Religious Institute Schools of Queensland 2023 – 2026. The salary will fall within the School Officer Salary Schedule range Level 3 ($54,202.40 - $56,502.40 Salary packaging), commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience and qualifications.

You will need

- Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Protected and Legal and Honesty

- Qualifications in Cert III/IV School Based Education or similar

- Hold a valid Blue Card or have the ability to obtain, and a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months), or hold current Teaching registration.

- Previous experience relevant to supporting and/or leading an organisations commitment to being a child safe organisation.

- The ability to inspire and engage young people.

- Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential.
