Beacon Legal has partnered with a global digital infrastructure business in the search for a Legal Counsel to join the Sydney office. This chance would suit a lawyer with around 3 to 5 years' PQE who is looking to step into a broad and commercially significant role.

We're seeking a commercially minded and proactive banking and finance or capital markets lawyer to join a high-performing legal team. This role offers exposure to complex debt financings, capital markets transactions and sophisticated commercial contracting while working closely with a business operating at the forefront of AI infrastructure, data centres and digital infrastructure.

About the Role

- Support a broad range of financing transactions, including syndicated facilities, equipment finance, leasing arrangements and capital markets issuances.
- Advise on financing, commercial and regulatory matters, including securities filings and transaction documentation.
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including confidentiality agreements, security documents, engagement letters,



master services agreements and statements of work.
- Support transaction execution from due diligence through to completion, including document verification, approvals, execution processes and closing requirements.
- Manage KYC, AML and counterparty onboarding processes, while coordinating with internal stakeholders, lenders and external advisers.
- Contribute to sophisticated, cross-border financing transactions within a fast-paced and high-growth business.

What we're looking for

- Admitted to practise in Australia.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in banking and finance or capital markets, gained in private practice or in-house.
- Strong technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach.
- Excellent communication, drafting and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Exposure to large-scale or cross-border transactions will be highly regarded.
