We're partnering with a prestigious international law firm to recruit a Legal Assistant to support a Senior Partner and team in Litigation. Your Role You'll provide proactive practice and administrative support to a partner and team of lawyers, playing an integral role in the management of matters from inception through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include
- End-to-end billing, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Assisting with matter budgets and financial tracking.
- Opening new matters and conducting conflict checks.
- Preparing engagement letters.
- Coordinating court deadlines, hearings and key matter milestones.
- Managing diaries, travel and team calendars.
- Preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence and pitches.
- Converting, comparing and bundling documents.
- Processing expenses
- Organsing team events
- Managing electronic files within iManage.
- Assisting Front of House during busy periods and contributing to office events and day-to-day operations.
You'll Be a Great Fit If You Have
- 2+ years' experience as a Legal Assistant, Practice Assistant, Legal EA or Legal Secretary.
- Previous litigation experience (highly regarded).
- Strong billing and matter management experience using systems including Aderant, Elite 3e, LEAP, Smokeball, iManage, NetDocs, etc
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
