Jordans Solicitors LLP is hiring! We’re looking for a motivated Litigator or Paralegal to join our Dispute Resolution Team working directly with Litigation Partner Mark Newby . The role comes with genuine career prospects for an aspiring paralegal Litigation Paralegal Jordans Solicitors LLP Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire Salary: From £25,000 (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Application Deadline: Friday 27th February 2026 The Opportunity Jordans Solicitors LLP is seeking an exceptional Litigation Paralegal to join our respected and expanding Litigation Department.

This role offers broad and meaningful experience across dispute resolution, criminal law, miscarriages of justice, and prison law — including work on complex and high-profile matters of national significance. You will work closely with the Litigation Partner, playing a key role in casework preparation and client support. Few paralegal roles offer this breadth of work — from civil litigation through to appellate criminal cases at the highest courts in the country.

What You’ll Be Doing Dispute Resolution — supporting a varied caseload including: Probate and inheritance disputes

Property litigation (boundary disputes, landlord/tenant issues, land matters)

Professional negligence

Commercial litigation Criminal Law & Miscarriages of Justice — working on complex and high-profile matters including: Investigating and preparing cases involving alleged miscarriages of justice

Drafting grounds of appeal and supporting applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC)

Reviewing large volumes of evidence, trial transcripts, and forensic material

Assisting with cases at all court levels, from the Crown Court through to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court Prison Law — Handling Matters Including: Supporting the representation of prisoners on issues such as categorisation, parole, and disciplinary proceedings

Attending prison visits and taking detailed client instructions

Preparing representations and submissions to the Parole Board and other bodies Across All Areas, You Will Be: Meeting and interviewing clients and witnesses

Preparing casework and assisting with hearings, conferences, and meetings with counsel

Undertaking legal research and drafting

Reviewing and managing substantial volumes of case material This Is Not an Ordinary Role We are looking for someone driven, resilient, and committed — a candidate who can demonstrate they have the determination and capability to thrive in demanding and meaningful litigation work.

Essential Requirements A strong CV demonstrating relevant legal experience or notable personal development

Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills

Ability to analyse and digest large volumes of material

Willingness to travel nationally for client and prison visits

Flexibility to work outside standard office hours when required

Based in (or with strong ties to)



South Yorkshire or North Yorkshire

Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential Career Progression: Clear Pathways to Qualification We offer routes to qualification, including CILEx, Solicitor Apprenticeship, and a Training Contract. Qualification support is not automatic and will be considered following a period of assessment within the role. This allows us to evaluate suitability based on the candidate’s performance, commitment, and development before any qualification route is offered.
