The Opportunity - M&A; Analytics Senior Associate/Manager

Maven Partners are working closely with a leading professional services firm’s Transaction Analytics team is currently seeking dynamic and experienced professionals for Manager and Senior Manager roles within a growing practice. As part of an established and forward-thinking analytics team, you will combine project leadership with hands-on delivery, leveraging data analytics to support clients in making informed decisions during critical transactions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams on complex engagements, delivering insights that drive value and enhance performance. This role reflects continued investment in the team and offers solid scope for career progression while working on high-impact, transaction-driven engagements.

Key Responsibilities - M&A; Analytics Senior Associate/Manager

- Lead and manage analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality insights to clients
- Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and develop tailored analytics solutions
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic decision-making
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights
- Support senior leadership with business development activities, including contributing to proposals, pitch materials, and client presentations
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service offerings

Requirements





- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, finance or economics, with a professional accreditation (or international equivalent) preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset, with experience across areas such as M&A;, strategy, management consulting, corporate finance or accounting
- Advanced quantitative and analytical capability, with experience working with large datasets and translating business questions into robust analysis
- Advanced proficiency in a leading data analytics platform is essential, as it is the primary tool used to deliver core analytics outputs
- Experience with SQL, Python and/or R is highly advantageous, supporting bespoke analysis, coaching of team members, and effective review and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insights through a commercial lens, influence senior stakeholders, and lead teams and projects effectively
