About the Role

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Mail Sorters, Handline Operators, and Pitney Bowes Machine Operators to join busy mail house and production environments across multiple sites in South East Melbourne - Bayswater and Braeside.

If you have experience working within the mail industry, including Australia Post, mail houses, postal services, direct mail, or operating Pitney Bowes mailing equipment, we would love to hear from you.

Candidates with previous Pitney Bowes machine operating experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

The majority of work involves high-volume mail sorting, handline processing, mail preparation, machine operation, and dispatch activities within a fast-paced production environment.

Day and Afternoon Shifts available, with ongoing opportunities for the right candidates.

Successful candidates will be comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy while meeting daily production targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Sorting and processing high volumes of mail for distribution and dispatch
- Operating Pitney Bowes mailing and inserting equipment (where experienced)
- Manual handline duties including folding, inserting, matching, collating, and packing mail items
- Preparing letters, statements, promotional materials, and campaign packs for mailing
- Verifying addresses, sequencing mail,



and ensuring accuracy of mail runs
- Conducting quality checks on completed mail packs
- Sorting incoming and outgoing mail according to delivery requirements
- Packaging and preparing completed mail for dispatch
- Assisting with machine feeding and general mail production duties
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience within the mail industry, including Australia Post, mail houses, postal services, direct mail, print production, or high-volume mail processing
- Experience operating Pitney Bowes mailing, inserting, or addressing equipment is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform repetitive handline tasks efficiently
- Experience working to production targets and deadlines
- Reliable attendance and a robust work ethic
- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual handling duties
- Flexibility to assist across mail sorting, handline, machine operation, and production departments as required

Highly Desirable Experience

- Australia Post mail processing or parcel sorting
- Mail house or direct mail campaign production
- Pitney Bowes inserting, mailing, inkjet, or addressing machine operation
- Print finishing, collation, fulfilment, or dispatch
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience working in fast-paced production or warehouse environments
