We're looking for a highly organised and technically minded Technical Specialist to join our National Engineering Team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on vehicle and workshop exposure with technical documentation, product development support, installation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Installation & Training Manager, you will work closely with engineering, product development, installation and operational teams across Australia.

You will play a key role in supporting new product development programs, documenting installation methods, improving workshop processes, and creating technical resources that help ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and consistently nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

- Support national product development and launch by documenting installation requirements, engineering changes, testing outcomes and implementation processes.
- Create and maintain knowledge base content, installation manuals, work instructions, SOPs, training materials and technical resources for national operations.
- Participate in vehicle assessments, product trials, installation activities and engineering reviews
- Support new product development through documentation, testing records and implementation guidance
- Capture and document installation methods, engineering changes and workshop processes, including technical reporting
- Assist with 3D model capture,



rapid prototyping activities and manufacturing validation processes
- Collaborate with engineering and technical stakeholders to transform complex information into practical, user-friendly documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across product development and installation operations
- Maintain document control systems, version management and review processes

What We’re Looking For

- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, automotive, installation, product development or technical environments
- Solid attention to detail and document control discipline
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools
- Strong organisational and time management skills

Highly Regarded

- Qualification in engineering, technical communication, training, information design, or a related discipline (highly desirable).
- Automotive accessory fitment or workshop experience
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude
- Experience creating process maps, diagrams, training materials and technical guides
- Exposure to engineering, manufacturing or product development environments
- CAD or engineering software exposure (desirable)
- Experience supporting technical trials, testing or product validation activities
- Knowledge of safety, quality and compliance requirements within technical industries
