We are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our Underwriting team - someone organised, proactive and keen to build a career in insurance.
This is a hands-on role where you will support our underwriting team and help keep things running smoothly. You will be exposed to how underwriting works in practice, learning from experienced professionals while contributing to the smooth running of a quick-paced, collaborative team.
If you are someone who likes to stay organised, take ownership and learn quickly, this is a strong first step into the industry.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the underwriting team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Managing shared inboxes and responding to broker requests in a timely, professional manner
- Preparing Certificates of Currency and processing policy endorsements
- Assisting with data entry, documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Working closely with underwriters to keep workflows moving efficiently
- Building your understanding of underwriting processes, risk assessment and decision-making
- Over time, taking on more responsibility - including supporting quotes and renewals
