Looking for a long‑term role close to home? We’re seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join a high‑performing maintenance team at a large food manufacturing site located just outside Murray Bridge. This role suits a mechanically strong, hands‑on fitter who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and working with a supportive, experienced team.
What’s on Offer - $50–$53/hr base rate - 15% shift loading on afternoon shift - Tool, boiler attendance & award allowances - On‑call roster with penalty rates - Reliable, long‑term permanent role The Role You’ll be responsible for mechanical maintenance across a busy production facility, including:
- Preventative & reactive maintenance - Work on conveyors, gearboxes, motors,
pumps & processing equipment - Fabrication & welding (MIG essential; TIG/STIG beneficial) - Supporting production teams to minimise downtime - Occasional weekend work (every third weekend) with an RDO during the week Shifts & Roster Monthly rotation across:
- 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM - 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM - 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM You’ll work a standard 5‑day week with rostered weekends built into the cycle.
About You
We’re looking for a fitter with:
- Strong experience in heavy industrial or FMCG environments - Confidence working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors & mechanical plant - Welding/fabrication skills (MIG essential) - A proactive, safety‑focused approach - A willingness to learn within a senior, supportive team
