The Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC) is seeking an experienced, community-focused and values-driven Manager to lead our Murraylands office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, supporting diverse communities and leading a dedicated team to create meaningful outcomes for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
About the Role: As the Manager of our Murraylands office, you will provide local leadership across service delivery, community engagement and team management. You will build strong partnerships with community organisations, local government and service providers while ensuring high-quality, culturally responsive services that reflect AMRC's values. You will also identify opportunities to strengthen services and support sustainable growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Murraylands office, including staff leadership, supervision and office management.
- Deliver and oversee high-quality settlement and community services for individuals, families and communities.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with the local councils, community organisations, government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Represent AMRC across local networks, forums and community events.
- Support program planning, reporting, budgeting and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen local services and contribute to future funding and partnership opportunities.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive and culturally safe workplace that reflects AMRC's vision and values.
About You
You are a confident and approachable leader who enjoys working with people and building trusted relationships across diverse communities.
You are organised, adaptable and motivated by making a genuine difference. You lead with integrity, communicate effectively and enjoy working collaboratively to solve problems and create opportunities.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification in social sciences, community services, management, psychology, education or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience within community services or a related sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage respectfully across diverse cultures and communities.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports and managing compliance requirements.
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint) and other digital systems.
- Commitment to quality improvement and service excellence.
- Current National Police Check and relevant DHS screenings,
including Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check and/or Aged Care Sector Employment Screening, as required.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with refugee and migrant communities.
- Understanding of settlement services, multicultural practice and community development.
- Knowledge of South Australia's community services sector and experience working collaboratively with government and non-government organisations.
- Experience managing grants, budgets or funded community programs.
