We are seeking a confident and capable Dental Assistant to join our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice in Bondi Junction. This is a clinical role primarily assisting two surgeons with minor procedures and wisdom teeth extractions, while supporting the smooth coordination of clinical flow.

Key Responsibilities
Represent and uphold the practice’s core values and professional standards
Welcome patients warmly and escort them into the treatment room, ensuring they feel supported and at ease
Assist surgeons during minor surgical procedures and wisdom teeth extractions
Perform high-level chairside assisting including x-rays, scans, photography and clinical note taking
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures to ensure seamless clinical flow
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms to surgical standards, ensuring they are fully stocked and organised
Manage instrument sterilisation and tracking, in accordance with strict infection control protocols
Liaise with reception to maintain daily efficiency of clinical sessions
Contribute to a calm, professional and patient-focused surgical environment
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (specialist or surgical experience highly regarded)
Confidence assisting with surgical or complex procedures
Strong knowledge of infection control and clinical compliance standards
The ability to anticipate clinician requirements and work proactively
Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
A calm and professional approach in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians and reception staff
The confidence and professionalism to work independently while contributing positively to a high-performing team
