About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Hand / Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse and distribution team. This role is primarily focused on supporting yard operations, including loading and unloading trucks, staging freight, and operating a forklift safely and efficiently, while also assisting with inbound warehouse activities as required.

Working closely with the warehouse team, drivers, and operations staff, you will play a key role in ensuring freight is received, stored, and dispatched safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe, organised, and productive yard.

Pay Rate

$36.00 - $40.32 per hour + Super

Schedule

Monday to Friday

Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely load and unload trucks.





Receive deliveries from suppliers and check incoming freight.

Stage pallets and freight in the yard for dispatch or warehouse put-away.

Move and transport bulky electrical products, including cable drums, conduit, switchboards, cable trays, and palletised stock.

Secure loads and ensure freight is loaded safely and accurately.

Assist with inbound warehouse operations, including receipting, scanning, and putting stock away.

Replenish stock and support the warehouse team during busy periods.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard and warehouse environment.

Communicate effectively with truck drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors.

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.

About You

Current LF Forklift Licence with proven counterbalance forklift experience.

Previous experience as a Yard Hand, Forklift Driver, Store person, or in a similar warehouse or distribution role.

Confident loading and unloading trucks and working in a busy yard environment.

Experience handling bulky or oversized products is highly regarded.

Good understanding of warehouse operations and safe manual handling practices.

Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively in a team.

Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic.

Physically fit and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
