The Office of the Director General (ODG) works at the centre of the Department, supporting the Director General in delivering Government priorities and departmental objectives. Led by the Director, ODG works across the Department to coordinate strategic initiatives, ministerial liaison, governance, project delivery and executive support.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager and strategic leader to drive the operations of the Office and provide critical support and advice to the Director General in delivering the Department’s objectives.

As Manager, ODG, you will lead a small team responsible for providing high-level executive support, ministerial liaison, corporate reporting and strategic project delivery. Working closely with the Corporate Executive and senior leaders, you will help coordinate complex and high-profile activities, shape and lead the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, and provide advice and support the effective management of departmental priorities.

To be successful, you will be a highly organised and adaptable leader with experience coordinating strategic initiatives and multifaceted projects in a large or complex organisation. You will be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information,



thrive in a fast-paced workplace and adapt confidently to change. You will also have experience providing high-level advice on complex issues and the ability to build productive relationships with senior stakeholders across government and industry.
