As Procurement Manager based in our HQ in (Sydney), you will report to the Procurement Director – Sourcing & Execution and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will join a diverse team and collaborate with talented people across AirTrunk to help us deliver data centre capacity with speed and scale in the APJ region.
- You will take ownership of the end-to-end procurement process ensuring on time and flawless execution of RFPs till contract award.
- You will have the prospect to identify, formulate and implement ideas that would contribute to more efficient delivery.
Your Day to Day
- Manage the procurement of various categories within the CAPEX domain within Australia.
- Develop, execute and monitor to ensure on-time execution of tenders across multiple countries from supplier on-boarding, RFx initiation, pre-tender briefings, post-tender interviews and clarifications, proposal evaluations, negotiations, supplier recommendations till contract award.
- Achieve efficiencies through bidding, negotiation and strategic initiatives.
- Understand customer requirements to establish and implement a robust procurement plan that deliver value to the business
- Work collaboratively with Category Managers to innovate within the procurement space,
automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle.
- Communicate expectations to internal teams within AirTrunk and build positive relationships, influencing others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Facilitate compliance with AirTrunk's supplier qualification process
- Provide inputs to support Supply Chain's optimization of the logistics function
- Partner with Supply Chain to build up materials management systems, processes, and tools
- Support the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Program through the development and scoring of supplier commercial performance KPIs, attending Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs) and delivering on any assigned action items
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Contract/Cost Management or Business Administration from an accredited university.
- 5+ years’ of relevant experience in a performing procurement related work, contract negotiation and bidding, with 3+ years managing CAPEX categories preferably in the Data Centre space.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, work with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple functions to manage complex projects within cost and schedule to deliver results.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Some travel may be required (<25%)
