As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced and energetic Manager to lead our Steel Division.
The Manager - Steel Division will be responsible for overseeing the entire steel manufacturing process, from production to delivery. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the steel industry, capable of driving operational excellence, enhancing profitability, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications & experience
- Engineering Degree (mechanical/mechatronics preferred) OR high-level boiler maker / welding qualifications and extensive trade experience running a production line/workshop (essential)
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in production line processes and quality control procedures. (essential)
- An understanding of machinery and equipment processes, safety standards and compliance. (essential)
- Good knowledge of project management responsibilities, systems and procedures. (essential)
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, and SharePoint. (essential)
- Formal trade or engineering qualifications related to steel production/fabrication.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Production Planning - organizing and optimizing all the activities involved in the production of the products.
- Production Coordination - ensuring that all the production details are handled efficiently guaranteeing that everything runs smoothly and on time.
- Quality Management - overseeing all production to maintain a desired level of excellence.
- Inventory Management - Oversight and control of the ordering, storage, and use of a company's inventory.
- Safety Compliance - Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, standards, and practices that are designed to ensure the safety and well-being in the workplace.
- Schedule Management - organizing, planning, and controlling the allocation of time and resources to various tasks, activities and projects.
- Business Resilience - maintain and improve the ECLIPS Fabrication Management Process (Standard Operating Procedure) encompassing advanced manufacturing capabilities and opportunities.
