Rubicon Associates is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced engineers with Maritime Platform Systems expertise to support current and future Defence acquisition, sustainment, and capability development programs.

As a proudly Australian-owned consultancy, Rubicon delivers integrated maritime engineering, systems engineering, design, project management and logistics support services across Defence and commercial maritime sectors. Our team brings decades of experience across Royal Australian Navy and commercial vessel programs, delivering innovative, practical, and supportable engineering solutions.

We are interested in hearing from engineers with experience in:

- Marine Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Combat Systems Engineering

Desired Experience

We are particularly interested in professionals with skills and experience in:

- Requirements analysis and requirements development
- Systems engineering and system definition
- Design development and design integration
- System commissioning activities
- Verification and Validation (V&V;) planning and execution
- Test and evaluation activities
- Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS)
- Maritime platform acquisition and sustainment programs

Technical Deliverables Experience

Candidates should be confident in the development of:





- Requirements specifications
- Design documentation
- Specialist engineering reports
- Test plans, procedures and reports
- Hazard analyses and safety documentation

Eligibility

Applicants should be

- Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA)
- Robust communicators with the ability to work collaboratively with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and multidisciplinary engineering teams
