Aspirante is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB), supporting the delivery of CITEC services within a complex ICT setting. Contract Period - 24/08/2026 to 25/02/2027 plus extension.

Reporting to the Director, Project Delivery, you will provide strategic business analysis advice and translate stakeholder needs into detailed business and system requirements.

As the Technical Business Analyst, you will:

- Assist stakeholders with the articulation of high-level business needs in relation to information systems andinformation technology (IT) processes.
- Analyse and evaluate user (stakeholder) requirements to identify the most appropriate solution and toconvert these requirements into detailed business/system requirements specifications.
- Analyse and document business requirements for system interface requirements and provide support andadvice on the development of reconciliation outputs.
- Negotiate, establish and maintain networks and working relationships with team members, clients andstakeholders.
- Design, develop and implement innovative communication activities ensuring stakeholders have a clearand accurate understanding of the program and its impact.
- Provide advice and recommendations on information system capabilities and integration with third partysystem solution options.

About you

- Advanced analytical, problem solving and research skills to develop innovative and cost-effective solutionsto complex IT issues.
- Demonstrate experience in analysing, interpreting, and evaluating technical information and businessrequirements to identify the most appropriate solution and conversion of these into detailedbusiness/system requirements specifications.
- Demonstrate experience with data analysis for activities relating to interfaces and integration, particularlydata transformation.
- Significant process modelling experience using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and use advanced communicationskills to convey complex information to a range of audiences.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications
