Executive Leadership Team | Reporting to the Managing Director

A leadership role with genuine influence.

While the title may suggest a traditional HRBP position, the reality is much broader. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, and providing regular reporting and insights to the Board, this role plays a critical part in shaping business strategy, culture, capability, and organisational performance. Supporting a workforce of 230 spanning both blue-collar operational teams and white-collar corporate functions, you'll be the trusted advisor to the Executive Team, helping drive business outcomes through solid people leadership.

The Opportunity

As the senior people leader within the business, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership across all aspects of Human Resources, including:

- Partnering with the Managing Director and Executive Leadership Team on business and workforce strategy.
- Providing monthly people and culture reporting to the Board.
- Leading organisational development, workforce planning, and succession initiatives.
- Coaching and influencing senior leaders across the business.
- Managing employee relations and complex employment matters.
- Driving performance, engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.
- Leading remuneration, talent development,



and capability programmes.
- Overseeing recruitment and workforce planning across operational and corporate teams.
- Ensuring compliance with New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Championing health, safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are an experienced HR leader who combines commercial acumen with strong people expertise. You'll bring:

- Extensive experience in a senior HR Business Partner, People & Culture Manager, or HR leadership role.
- Experience supporting both blue-collar and white-collar workforces.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Strong employment relations and change management capability.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to align people strategy with business outcomes.
- A pragmatic, hands‑on approach coupled with strategic thinking.
