We invite applications for the position of ICT Manager at our campus in Green Valley, New South Wales. The Role

The ICT Manager provides strategic leadership and operational management of the College’s technology environment. The role ensures secure, resilient, and forward-thinking digital platforms that support outstanding pedagogical outcomes and seamless business operations. As a hands-on leader, the ICT Manager drives digital transformation, leads cybersecurity governance, and maintains the College's standing as a premier Microsoft Showcase School.

Reporting to the ICT Sub-Committee, you will lead the ICT team and play a central role in shaping the College’s digital strategy, including cybersecurity, AI integration, and digital learning frameworks. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical expertise, strategic capability, and a strong focus on service delivery.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators

1. Strategic Leadership & Innovation

Digital Vision: Design, deliver, and iterate the College’s 3-5 year Digital Strategy Plan in alignment with Executive priorities.

Microsoft Blueprint: Champion the Microsoft Showcase School framework. Maximize the adoption of M365, Azure, and Intune features across academic and corporate environments.

Emerging Tech & AI: Formulate and manage governance frameworks for Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in learning and administration.

Cloud Architecture: Oversee and optimize a cloud-first enterprise environment utilizing Microsoft Azure.

Network Reliability: Maintain maximum uptime for server infrastructure, campus-wide Wi-Fi networks, switching, and firewall security.

Device Management: Oversee the provisioning, tracking, and lifecycle management of the 1:1 student device program and staff endpoints via Microsoft Intune.

Sentral Oversight: Serve as the technical custodian of the Sentral School Management System, managing updates, system health, and database integrity.

Data Integration: Ensure clean data synchronization and API workflows between Sentral, third-party software, and the core identity management systems.





Reporting Ecosystems: Support leadership and administration teams with complex data extractions, analytics reporting, and platform access control.

Threat Mitigation: Design and implement robust cybersecurity frameworks covering identity management, threat protection, and data loss prevention.

Compliance: Ensure complete alignment with data protection regulations, Australian privacy principles, and child safety legislation.

Business Continuity: Maintain, test, and update disaster recovery (DR) protocols, automated backup verification, and system resilience frameworks.

5. Operational Excellence & Support Services

Helpdesk Oversight: Lead a highly responsive, customer-focused IT support service desk for students, academic staff, and administration.

SLA Compliance: Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) for technical requests, hardware repairs, and classroom troubleshooting.

Budget Accountability: Formulate and manage the annual operational and capital (CAPEX/OPEX) ICT budgets under the guidance of the Director of Business and Operations.

Procurement: Lead contract negotiations, licensing audits (including Microsoft EA), and vendor evaluations to ensure fiscal efficiency.

Project Delivery: Act as project manager for complex digital implementations, ensuring timelines and budget parameters are strictly met.

7. Team Leadership & Capability Building

Mentorship: Supervise, mentor, and foster professional development for the internal ICT team members.

Capacity Planning: Identify skills gaps within the technical team and implement relevant targeted training programs.

Key Selection Criteria

Proven Leadership: Minimum 5 years of experience leading an ICT function, ideally within an educational institution or an agile corporate environment.

Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise across Microsoft server/cloud ecosystems (Azure, M365, Intune), enterprise networking, and modern MDM frameworks.

Database Expertise: Demonstrated competency managing enterprise educational software, specifically the Sentral School Management System.

Security Expertise: Demonstrated competency in establishing cybersecurity frameworks,



identity security, and robust disaster recovery workflows.

Project Capability: Proven track record of planning, budgeting, and executing large-scale digital transformations or enterprise systems migrations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication skills with a proven capacity to translate complex technological issues for non-technical users.

Cultural Alignment: Commitment to supporting the safe, respectful, and values-driven educational workplace of an independent Islamic college.

About You

The successful candidate will be a strategic and service-oriented ICT leader who demonstrates:

Proven experience leading an ICT function, ideally within an educational environment.

Strong technical expertise across infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user environments.

Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and data protection practices.

Experience leading ICT projects, digital transformation initiatives, and system implementations.

Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Commitment to service excellence and alignment with the values and ethos of Minarah College.

Qualifications and Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field.

Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, cloud, or infrastructure are highly regarded.

Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance.

Current Driver's Licence.

Salary Classification: Paid in accordance with the Independent Schools NSW (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement (CMEA PAOS 2025 - Level 8), plus statutory superannuation.
