We are seeking a Part-Time Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our team for 20 hours per week. School hours can be accommodated for the right candidate. This office-based role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well under deadlines, and values being part of a collaborative team.
About the Role
As our Payroll & Accounts Officer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and accounts functions. Working closely with our Payroll, Recruitment and Operations teams, you'll help ensure our workforce is paid correctly each week while supporting the day-to-day financial administration of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process employee payroll data and timesheets accurately ensuring deadlines and data integrity are consistently met efficiently within our payroll system.
- Work across multiple Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) and modern awards.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Analyse and manipulate third-party data using complex Excel spreadsheets.
- Respond professionally to payroll and accounts enquiries via phone and email.
- Handle confidential employee and financial information with discretion.
- Participate in cross-training across payroll and accounts to support business operations.
About You
- Previous experience in payroll, accounts administration, or a similar role.
- Experience interpreting multiple EBAs and modern awards (highly regarded).
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with complex formulas and large datasets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative, positive attitude and the ability to build solid relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
