District Forest and Fire Planning Officer

An exciting opportunity to plan and deliver key programs across the Murrindindi forest estate. Managing and maintaining forest roads, recreation sites and delivering on fire response and mitigation including fuel reduction burning this role is a mix of field and office based work. A supportive team and a beautiful natural work environment will suit team players with strong planning and communication skills matched with experience in the forest and land management area.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- A broad knowledge and/or relevant experience in the planning and delivery of fuel, road, track, recreation and environmental asset maintenance and improvement programs is desirable.
- Contractor management skills including the ability to manage procurement is desirable.

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2028. The work location for this position is Alexandra with hybrid work arrangements available.

Preferred candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening,



including a Declaration and Consent form and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
