About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and strategic individual for a role focused on driving participation growth across netball. Working collaboratively with Member Organisations and key stakeholders, this position will lead national marketing campaigns, digital platforms, brand storytelling and community engagement initiatives that attract, retain and re-engage participants. The role will strengthen connections across the netball community, enhance the participant experience, and showcase the positive impact of netball for individuals and communities across Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

Participation Growth

- Play a leading role in the development and delivery of national marketing campaigns that drive netball participation, including the National Play Netball Campaign, with a focus on awareness, acquisition, retention and re-engagement.
- Use market insights, participation data, and customer trends to inform strategy and optimise campaign performance.
- Partner with Member Organisations, Associations, Clubs,



and Schools to support participation growth and the delivery of alternate participation offerings

Content & Brand

- Develop and deliver compelling content and campaigns that showcase netball’s impact and celebrate the stories of athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, clubs and participants.
- Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all marketing and communication activities.
- Contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of marketing campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.
- Collaborate across the organisation to ensure marketing initiatives support participation, commercial, and brand objectives.

Community Engagement

- Support initiatives that empower, engage, and recognise coaches, officials, volunteers, and community leaders.
- Promote the accessibility and utilisation of participation, coaching, and officiating resources and programs.
- Lead the planning, development, launch, and ongoing management of a central public-facing netball website, ensuring it provides a seamless and engaging participant experience.
- Define business requirements and manage the end-to-end delivery of website enhancements, new functionality, and digital projects.
- Oversee the integration of registration systems and digital platforms to create a seamless participant journey.
- Establish and promote a centralised resource hub that improves access to tools, information, and support for the netball community.

About You We are looking for someone who possesses the following:

- Alignment to our NA Values – Belong, Be Bold, Be Your Best;
- Demonstrated experience in marketing, community engagement, participation development, sport marketing, or a related discipline;
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention;
- Experience managing digital platforms, websites, customer journeys, and community engagement initiatives;
- Knowledge of website architecture, information design, accessibility standards, SEO, and user experience (UX) best practices;
- Knowledge of digital platform integrations, including CRM, registration, membership, payment, and marketing technology systems;
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple organisations and levels;
- Strong analytical capability and experience using data and insights to inform strategy and decision-making;




- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and content development; and
- Demonstrated project and budget management experience.

Other Information The role is based at Netball’s Head Office in Fitzroy/Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of traditional office hours may be required.
