Most marketing roles keep you at the desk. This one puts you in the room with the CIOs, CISOs and CFOs of the region's biggest companies — building the campaigns that fill those rooms, and being there when they do. If you're early in your career, genuinely hungry, and you don't flinch at picking up the phone, read on.
About Factor
Factor runs the room where senior technology and business leaders actually show up. Our executive events — CIO Day, Security Day, Data+AI Day, CTO Day, CFO Day and CXO Afterhours — bring CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, CFOs and their peers together across Australia, Singapore and the Middle East. We also build Panelist, our own events and networking platform.
Small team, senior audience, high standards.
The role
You'll own the execution behind our marketing — campaigns, lists and event delivery. You're equally at home behind a keyboard, on the phone, or working a room full of executives, and you take real pride in getting the details right.
What you'll do
- Build, schedule and send marketing campaigns across email and LinkedIn
- Own list hygiene — clean, segment, de-dupe and maintain our contact database and CRM so every campaign goes out clean
- Plan and run campaigns end to end: brief, build, send, report
- Support events on the ground — registrations, delegate management, on-site coordination, and making sure the day runs seamlessly
- Track performance and report on what's working: open rates, registrations, show-rates, pipeline influence
- Work closely with our sales and events teams so marketing and delegate targets line up
Read Before you apply — We'd rather be upfront now than have you discover this in month three. So, plainly:
- You'll get on the phone. Some days a handful of calls, some days more — confirming attendance, chasing RSVPs, or reaching an executive directly. If "I don't really do phones" is you, this isn't the role.
- You'll be at events, on your feet — greeting senior executives, networking, and representing Factor in person. Some are evening dinners (CXO Afterhours) that run well past 5pm.
- There will be travel — between our Sydney and Singapore hubs and to events across the region, occasionally including the Middle East.
- It's a lean, fast-moving business. You'll wear several hats, priorities will shift, and the role will grow as fast as you do. If you want a narrow, fixed lane, this isn't it.
None of this is a "sometimes, if we're desperate." It's the job — and for the right person, it's the best part.
Who you are
- Early in your career (roughly 1–3 years' experience) and genuinely hungry to build one in B2B marketing
- Humble and coachable, with no ego — you'd rather learn something than be seen to be right
- Sharp and organised, with an obsessive eye for detail (a typo in a send to 2,000 CIOs is not a small thing)
- Comfortable talking to people, in person and on the phone,
including senior ones — an SDR's instinct in a marketer's job: you do what moves the number, and a call doesn't scare you
- Reliable under deadline — you close loops without being chased
Nice to have (not dealbreakers)
- Experience with a CRM or marketing automation tool (HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp or similar)
- An events, agency or B2B/tech background
- Basic comfort with data — spreadsheets, simple list logic, cleaning up messy exports
What success looks like
- First 30 days — you know our events, our audience and our tools, and you're running sends independently with clean lists.
- 60 days — you own campaign execution end to end and you're comfortable making outbound calls to confirm and fill events.
- 90 days — you're a trusted pair of hands on the event floor and a driver of registration numbers, not just an executor.
Why it's worth it
- Direct exposure to the C-suite of the region's biggest companies — the kind of network that's rare this early in a career
- Real ownership from day one; your work visibly moves the business
- A front-row seat to both live events and a growing SaaS product (Panelist)
- Room to grow into demand gen, event management or broader marketing leadership as we scale
- Hybrid working - A flexible working model that balances office collaboration with work from home.
- Mental health days - Dedicated mental health days each year so our team can recharge and maintain wellbeing.
- Performance-based incentives - Access to a performance and commission structure aligned with team and company outcomes.
