Paolo’s Pizza Bar is looking for a passionate Chef to join our growing kitchen team in Hervey Bay.

What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing and cooking woodfired pizzas, fresh pasta dishes and other menu items to consistently high standards.
Maintaining exceptional kitchen cleanliness, organisation and food safety practices.
Managing stock rotation, food storage and ingredient preparation.
Working closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver smooth and productive service.
Following recipes while contributing ideas and maintaining attention to detail.
Monitoring cooking times, temperatures and presentation to ensure every dish meets our quality standards.
Maintaining a positive, professional attitude during busy service periods.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally in Italian or pizza-focused kitchens.
A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Confidence using commercial kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
Pride in producing consistently high-quality food.
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
Flexibility and reliability across weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable but not essential.
