About the Role
We are seeking a Qualified Mechanic or 4th year Mechanic, to join our service department. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. You'll play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure our customers receive the highest standard of service. This role involves the reconditioning of Adelaide Vehicle Centre stock vehicles and no retail work to be undertaken from our premises.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct thorough inspections and provide detailed reports on vehicle conditions.
- Communicate with workshop manager to provide clear explanations of repairs needed.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Qualifications
- Certificate III / Certificate II in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a dealership or workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with automotive repair software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
