Mechanical Engineering — AI Trainer About The Role We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more technically rigorous AI models — and we need mechanical engineers to make it happen. This is a unique opportunity to apply your deep domain knowledge in a brand-new way: stress-testing advanced AI on the hardest problems in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, structural mechanics, and beyond. If you've ever wanted to shape how AI thinks about engineering, this is your chance.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Complex Engineering Problems — Craft advanced, multi-step challenges across domains like FEA (Finite Element Analysis), heat transfer, kinematics, material science, and mechatronics to push AI to its limits.
Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning — clear, accurate, and built to engineering standards.
Audit AI Reasoning — Evaluate AI-generated outputs including CAD logic, thermodynamic derivations, and material specifications for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with standards such as ASME and ISO.
Refine AI Thinking — Identify and document logical errors in AI reasoning — from incorrect force distributions to energy conservation violations — and provide structured feedback that directly improves model performance.
