Evolve Talent are are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a major mine expansion project in Moranbah.

This is an opportunity to work on the construction of an 8.5km water pipeline diversion, supporting critical infrastructure upgrades for a large-scale mining operation. We are looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters with proven experience in water pipeline construction who can confidently interpret drawings and deliver quality mechanical installation work in a remote project environment.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, fit-up and assembly of mechanical components associated with a large-scale water pipeline project. You will work closely with the project team to ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and align large-bore iron water pipeline components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and isometric drawings.
- Install valves, flanges, pipe spools and associated mechanical equipment.
- Complete mechanical fit-up and flange management activities.
- Assist with hydrostatic pressure testing and commissioning.
- Work collaboratively with welding and civil construction teams.
- Complete work in accordance with project QA/QC requirements.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

About You:





- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Demonstrated experience on water pipeline construction projects.
- Previous experience working with large-bore iron or steel water pipelines.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience installing valves, flanges and mechanical pipeline infrastructure.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Strong safety focus and the ability to work effectively within a project team.
