We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a Structural, Mechanical & Piping project running throughout September and October. This is a short-term opportunity offering excellent rates, flights from Townsville, Brisbane or Cairns accommodation, and meals will be provided for during the rostered period.
Your Recent Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical Installation and maintenance work while ensuring all project deadlines and Safety requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical installation and assembly of plant and equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Complete QA and project documentation
- Work safely in line with site procedures and standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to achieve project outcomes
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
- Experience with alignment and soft foot corrections
- Previous SMP project experience highly regarded (Install Control room, Construct HPU building, Cement Silo Install, Mixer Structure)
- Strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
